I did this because our class watched a video about a girl getting mocked and bullied about her name and her name was Unhei and she was korean but when she moved to the states she was in tears after her mum and Unhei went shopping then her mum said we can’t just stop eating korean food just because we are in the states.
I think that the mum wants to be unique and to be confident about her identity.
